Corrigasleggaun

At approx 13.50hrs, on the way to Lugnaquillia (Leinster’s highest peak), a hillwalker suffered a lower leg injury on Corrigasleggaun (780m). His group attempted to evacuate him themselves but found that they were unable and called in Mountain Rescue. Both the Dublin & Wicklow Mountain Rescue Team andthe Glen of Imaal Red Cross Mountain Rescue Team attended the incident.

The injured person was airlifted at 3.10pm by the Irish Coastguard Helicopter to Baldonnell and transferred to Tallaght hospital for treatment.
