Callout : 049 – 22nd June 2022 – Jenkinstown, County Louth

At 16:16hrs, Dublin / Wicklow Mountain Rescue Team and Glen of Imaal Red Cross Mountain Rescue were tasked by the National Ambulance Service to a report of an injured person in the vicinity of the Loop Trail in Jenkinstown, County Louth.

Due to the nature and difficult access to the 53 year old patient, Mountain Rescue crag specialist unit were requested as part of the inter agency tasking which also included the National Ambulance Service, County Louth Fire & Rescue Service, Coastguard and Rescue 116 who made the air lift and transported the patient to definitive care.

Team was stood down at 18:12hrs.

Duration of incident: 1 hour, 56 minutes.
