At 14:56hrs, Dublin / Wicklow Mountain Rescue Team and Glen of Imaal Red Cross Mountain Rescue were tasked by An Garda Síochána to a report of an injured person in the vicinity of the Glenealo Valley.
Two Dutch female hikers were out walking when one of them lost her footing and sustained an ankle injury. Mountain Rescue personnel made their way to the casualty location and after assessment she was splinted and evacuated down to a Mountain Rescue response vehicle and transported to hospital.
Team was stood down at 18:21hrs.
Duration of incident: 2 hours, 25 minutes.
