At 20:00 on Saturday, March 23rd, Dublin & Wicklow Mountain Rescue Team and Glen of Imaal Red Cross Mountain Rescue Team were tasked by An Garda Síochána to come to the aid of a family group who became separated and disorientated while walking in Glenmalure.
They were walking in a wooded area in Glenmalure when they became separated. One of the group raised the alarm by calling 112. While mountain rescue personnel were on the way both groups successfully found their way to Glenmalure Lodge. The operation was stood down at 20:23.
