At 15:32hrs, Dublin / Wicklow Mountain Rescue Team and Glen of Imaal Red Cross Mountain Rescue were tasked by An Garda Síochána for a female with a suspected ankle fracture needing assistance near the area of Eagles Rock. Also tasked were Mourne Mountain Rescue Team, Greenore Coast Guard Unit and Rescue 118. Medical personnel treated the patient who was then air lifted by R118 Coast Guard helicopter. This is a fantastic example of different emergency services working together to achieve the same goal.
Team was stood down at 19:53hrs.
Duration of incident: 4 hours, 21 minutes.
